Medical Team

Our medical team has arrived.  We have had some issues with the medicines the team is bringing.  Chile has strict regulations about medicines being allowed in to the country.  Please pray we will be able to get all of the meds so we can offer them as part of the clinic.  One of the biggest ways we can bless the people is being able to provide meds for free.  The financial burden often causes them to go without needed medical attencion and medicine.

We appreciate your prayers and ask that you pray for us everyday.  The gospel will be shared daily;  please remember those who will hear the gospel.

In the Wind

Well, since Ronny arrived we have been in the wind.  We have been working with the Health Department here for three weeks trying to get the team approved.  The answer is coming today, praise the Lord!  This morning we will be going to look at one of the schools which is lined up.  We will be working in a different school each day, Wednesday - Friday.  Then on Saturday, we will travel to a rural area which is actually translated 'shrimp'. 

This afternoon we will travel to Tacna and spend the night. 

Prayer

I think we have struggled through some of our toughest days over the past few months.  I can see why the book of James talks about persevering (enduring) in the midst of trials.  It would be easy to give up.  We have sensed the Lord is pushing us further than we have ever gone.  When everything says no, it can't be done, you have to keep going because through Jesus all things are possible.  It is not about positive thinking.  It is about living beyond what we can see.  Randy mentioned this afternoon that since we stepped on the mission field, things are just more difficult.  Nothing is simple; everything is a battle. 

As the time for our medical team approaches, we need your prayers.  Please pray....

• Ask the Lord to open the doors which man cannot shut.
• We will have favor here with the Department of Health.
• We will find more doctors willing to help with project.
• The team will have favor going through the borders of Chile and Peru.
• We will be able to talk with the right people in authority who can help us with issues regarding meds.
• Pray for the team's travel here on July 13-14th.
• Pray for our strength as we continue to prepare for their arrival.
• Pray Jesus will be glorified and people who do not know Him will be saved.
• Ronny Gilmore is traveling now.  He is to arrive Friday evening.  Pray for his safe travel.
