Last weekend began our traveling for furlough. This is a recap of our first week.
- We spent Friday and Saturday with our friends Richard and Mendy King. Mendy is on staff with the Gulf Coast Baptist Association. Saturday we all traveled to Lucedale to see Pastor Tommy Mitchell and his wife Andrea. They are sweet friends of ours we have known for a long time. Brother Tommy had a five-way bypass operation and we were glad to see he was doing well.
- Sunday we traveled to Waveland, Mississippi. Randy's cousin, Brian Bridges and his wife Karen planted Westbay Community Church a little over a year ago. We were able to share with their Church and fellowship with them afterwards. You can keep them in your prayers as they keep plowing this year.
- Monday, I was able to share with the Rock Hill Baptist Church WMU Group.
- Thursday, it was off to Brookhaven. My mom's WMU group at New Prospect Baptist Church asked me to speak.
- This weekend we are home! We hung out at WeWillGo in downtown Jackson this morning - the girls sent out newsletters and the guys worked on the properties. Ryan and Melissa Scone are in town from Alabama. They were interns with WeWillGo and have a call to Peru. We will be traveling to see them in Winfield, Alabama this week.
I will post some pictures soon. We appreciate your prayers as we travel and speak!
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
